Our educational presentations are 4 hours and taught at an intermediate level for social work professionals. Each attendee receives a Certificate of Completion, signed by the Director of Restoration Place, as required by the State of Michigan to renew professional licenses. Social work professionals licensed in the State of Michigan will receive a certificate for 4 Continuing Education Credits, approved by Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative. All other medical, mental health, and education professionals can take their certificate and presentation notes to submit to their governing licensing board for CE approval appropriate to your profession. Certificates are awarded at the conclusion of the live seminar.
Training sessions specific to healthcare professionals, public lodging establishments, and general public. We tailor programs to fit the needs of those requesting training, in reference to on-site training. All scheduled training is appropriate for all professions and general public.
Training sessions can be held at your place of business or at designated facilities throughout the year. You will come away with a greater understanding of what defines human trafficking, the many forms it takes, and what to do when spotted.
Resource materials will be handed out during the presentation. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early for registration, payment, and refreshments. HTES meets the State of Michigan mandate requirements for human trafficking training for healthcare professionals. Your licensing board may require more than the State of Michigan mandates, please check with your licensing board for training approval. RULE 338.3901a Requires licensees to complete training in identifying victims of human trafficking beginning with the 2016 renewal cycle. This training requirement will need to be completed prior to the license renewal in 2018. Applicants who apply for a license on or after March 17, 2021 will be required to have completed training in identifying victims of human trafficking.
ACE Approval Statement Restoration Place, #1720, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Restoration Place maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 06/14/2019 – 06/14/2020. Social workers participating in this course will receive 4 continuing education credits.
